anyone no of any decently priced longaction rifles with a bull on them i feel they hold better accuracy and i love the look of them but i have noticed not many come standard gotta get a aftermarket which is just fine they're usualy of better qaulity anyway but and also any caliber to specify? i love the 7mm rem mag so flat so powerful amazing for reaching out but im a smaller guy and well lol would be a bit much for me i think same with the 300 win mag love both but like i said bit much for me i think idk just been considering i new boltaction and thought id get some advice was looking at a few but they werent what i was looking for so but any info would be great thanks!

I have no clue as to exactly what you are getting at? You want a long action bolt gun but any magnum calibers like the 7mm Rem Mag or 300 Win Mag are out. You want a heavy barrel also. So then consider a cartridge like the tried and true 30-06 I would guess in any older Remington 700 series with a heavy barrel would fit. You don't mention if you want sights or not? Remington, Ruger and Savage all make what you seem to want as well as other manufacturers.

While I am far from a forum English Grammar policeman you really need to work on better expressing yourself.

You can always just buy a Long Action Savage, and put a heavy barrel on it in whatever caliber you want.
It takes less than an hour to build what you want at your house with a couple inexpensive tools. No gunsmith's needed.

There are plenty of Short Action caliber heavy barreled rifles that will do as good or better than the Long Action calibers, and are easy on your shoulder.

Yeah, a great suggestion using a Savage action. No muss and no fuss just put it together.

my 30 year old Ruger M77 .280 with bull barrel still shoots quarter groups....just lucked out...gun scare got nothing on me, my guns are mine and I love them all.

If you want a really nice setup start with a Savage target action. Or you can buy a rifle build on that action and already set up the way you want it. I'd suggest a .308 based on the things you have said. That puts you square in the middle of the Savage F T/R rifles along with the F Class rifles. Savage is setting the shooting world on it's head with those rifles winning competitions with stock rifles shooting against custom built rifles. That is unheard of but it is happening and has been for a few years now. Team Savage has won a lot of international competitions with their stock Savage rifles. That's why I bought one myself. I went looking for a .308 myself but found a great deal on a .223.

And yes I know the .308 is a short action. In fact all of the target series actions are short actions. But considering what these calibers will do I don't see a good reason to insist on a long action. But to each his own. I just know that you can buy an incredibly accurate rifle from Savage that's built for long range, precision shooting for either target work or varmint hunting. Mine is a varmint gun and I'm about to get to try it out on some coyotes as soon as I talk to my neighbors so I won't scare them to death. I have a pack of coyotes hanging around a barn on the property which is about 200 yards from the house. I should be able to sit on my porch or shoot out a bedroom window for that matter and nail quite a few of the nuisance critters. All I need is some bait and a few recorded calls and I'll be nailing some varmints.

I don't know what you have in mind. I just know that Savage makes some really nice, heavy barrel rifles these days. I'm talking single shot actions with the target AccuTrigger which can be adjusted down to about 6 oz. or less. It really is a great shooting rifle in a box. At least they were when mine was made and I've seen lots of good reports about them.
