I have been shooting and reloading for a while now. I feel like I have my bases covered as far as firearms go, except for the fact that I am without a dedicated long range precision rifle.
I've been looking around and the Kimber 8400 Tactical seems to fit the bill. I'm also considering a similar Tikka and Remington .308. I know the Kimber is a little more money, but that isn't a huge concern. In particular, I like the Kimber stock more than the others.
I just moved back to the country, and I have a large yard with enough room to safely shoot 600+ yards. I feel like the .308 is enough round for this, but I haven't ruled out something larger (300WM, 338L). Please share your thoughts. Thanks!
