Our squad started at the rectangles at 300, 400, 500 from four positions and I got 8 out of 12. A good start, but it got ugly at the next stage. 16" & 14" circles at 726 & 12" & 10" circles at 619, possible 8 points. I used the temp at the range and the mils seemed high. They were, bad, between moving from weak side to strong side and switching positions, as well as shooting over the targets, I scored a big fat zero. Struggled at the next one with dope again, 2 points. Then used a higher temp in the app, adjusted a little on the fly, and shot 9 out of 9 on the next one. The stage we finished on had IPSC targets right to left of 100, 75, 66, 50, & 45% at 813 to 817. Two hits on the large one then move to the next smaller size, two hits on it and so on. Wind was getting switchy, changing directions with small gusts, not blowing real hard, just kept changing. Got a six on that to finish out.
One fellow had a tripod to help steady the rear of the rifle on barricades etc. Sam borrowed in on four or five stages and used it very effectively. I used it on one stage, should have used it for more, it really helped.
Sam scored 46 hits while I had 40, Jeff lagged way behind both of us. Our hit ratios both went way up, we were below 50% last time, this time Sam said he was at 75% and I was at 70%. I was faster, but not fast enough to get a chance at all of the points. I shot 57 times for 40 hits, even with the big fat zero on one stage. Brought 116 rounds and returned with 59.
Overall a great time.
Sam & I on the stage shots. Then Me, Sam, & Jeff together.
