Can any of you recommend web searchable businesses that provide this service for folks who have to be out of the country for an extended period of time?

    Cheers, TF

Where I live, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting half a dozen self-serve storage facilities. My understanding is that as long as you pay the monthly fee, they'll rent you the unit until Hades is covered in glaciers.

    Google "self service storage"
Results 1 - 10 of about 24,700,000 for self service storage.

You're in the UK? Google "self service storage UK"
Results 1 - 10 of about 1,210,000 for self service storage UK

    A couple picked at random:
    http://www.bigyellow.co.uk/
    http://www.sparkfordstorage.com/

and the trade associan for Self-storange companies:
    http://www.ssauk.com/

Are you looking for something other than your normal self-storage facility? Google "high security storage UK"
Results 1 - 10 of about 10,100,000 for high security storage UK.

    Good luck! :)

Tom, if you can, pay the whole anticipated tab upfront - having been overseas a few years (at different times), making those monthly payments can be an issue. Even with direct withdrawals.

    Sorry; I wasn't clear;
My guns are stored with a couple of people in the states, but I'm considering other options as I don't want to wear out my welcome and it looks like I'll be in the UK longer than I thought; I'm looking for long term storage in the Southern US (or Cincy; I-75 corridor) that specializes in firearms.
Whats' the rules on a safety deposit box? Anybody know about fees?
Tom is a Ky boy a long way from home.

Do banks still let you put handguns in safe deposit boxes?
