Just got off the phone from Buds Gun Shop, they say it'll be shipped to my local FFL in a week.

All in all it set me back $435. How'd I do for a NIB Satin Nickle gun?

Damn those CZ's are stylin'. Kind of a three-way-cross between a Beretta, 1911, and Walther.

The price is definitely right too.

You're gonna love it!!!

That satin finish sure looks nice too!!

My carry gun is CZ-75 compact in 9mm. Definately one of my favorite handguns. I'm thinking of getting a P01 to replace the 1911 as my bedside companion. I'm thinking it would be better to have gun with a rail mount that I can mount a surefire light onto.

Yeah, I've always loved the look of a CZ. In fact, I was thinking about getting an RIA 1911 for my .45 auto (I already have a S&W 625), but now my eyes are shifting towards a CZ 97. I'll just see how much I love the 75 before I jump into another gun purchase.

Anyone else have one of these and want to share their stories?

I have both a RIA 1911 and a CZ 97B (in the satin nickel finish). Both are great guns -- it would be a hard call to devide which one I would give up. I like all the "custominzing" I can do with the RIA -- but I also love the way the CZ 97B shoots. Here are a couple of pics:

I also have a CZ 75BD and I'm thinking about "trading up" to an SP-01 Tactical. CZ's are addicting!

Thanks for the comparison pictures, Navy. I assume the 97 is a little bit thicker than the RIA, right?

I'm really excited about this gun. I can't wait till it arrives. Maybe I should let my local FFL know that the gun is headed his way... :neener:

Deerhunter--VERY nice looking gun! Sounds like a pretty good deal to me too. I LOVE nickel finish.Looks great on that CZ.As an added bonus, I hear the CZ 75B is a great shooter to match the great looks. Now that Ive seen that, I'll be longing for one. Thanks for costing me $435!:)

Definitely -- the CZ 97B is a big gun. If you have small mitts, it's not for you. The only thing I've run across that was bigger is my Glock 21 -- another double-stack .45 ACP. The feel between the single stack RIA and the double-stack CZ is quite different...but they're each great shooters and I really like 'em both!

Jim

I've got pretty big mits, and my favorite revolver size is those N frame smiths. I love big handguns, so I figure that the 97 will be a perfect fit.

Jrfoxx - Costing you? My friend, if anything, I have helped you gain a very nice gun.

Mec Gar's link to buying their CZ 75 magazines is not working, CDNN is out (they said to call back in a week), and I'm not paying the factory prices for the magazines. So, looks like I'll have to stock up on mags after I get the gun.

Not to hyjack the thread, but here's my new toy :D BHP practical 9mm with 3 15rds mags. Should be here next week. I was a little nervous buying from online, but I found this on Gunsamerica and could not pass it up. Everyone needs a Hi Power and CZ in their collection :D

Nice gun, man. I was thinking about a dual tone CZ 75, but when my eyes hit the Satin Nickle, I had to wipe the drool from my keyboard. Stainless looks nice too, but that Satin Nickle just caught my eyes.

How much did you pay for that gun, anyway?

You might try Arizona Gun Runners: http://www.arizonagunrunners.com/cgi-bin/cart.pl?db|mecgardb.dat|CZ 75

I think shipping is around $9 (flat rate). They only ship orders over $50 -- so buy a bunch. You can never have too many magazines!

Jim

Wow, thank you Navy! And these are just as cheap as CDNN, too.

You just made my day. :)
