In the past after getting frustrated with having to wait for one of two shooting positions to open at the 300m line I decided to build this little gem.

Works great! if you use a couple three cheap-O jackstands to stabilize the vehicle, and the boat seat is much more comfortable than those hard wooden benches.

Cool! Looks comfortable...:D Gonna wack some prarie dogs with the 'x39?:p:D

I have been wanting to borrow a welder and make something like that, but i never seem to have time....

I think it looks great! Pretty cool that you can back right up to the shooting line. That will work just fine until seven or nine others make one of those...and beat you to the parking space! :D

Seriously, looks like a well made bench and seems like you've smoothed out a bug or two to make it work even better. Good job!

Mark.

Nice work, krochus. And who said Arkansans were not resourceful? Love the boat seat. I assume it swivels?

I noticed you have jack stands under the seat and the back bumper, does it hop around much?

That could be a very successfully commercial venture if you could mass produce them! Just give it a catchy name and get a website up.

It's already been patented, just Google. I know I've seen these being sold premade a couple times in the past.

krochus, how much did it run ya to make that thing? :)

Very nice!!
I hate to do this, because people who always bring the negative get on my nerves:fire:, but you might want to check your local laws before building/buying something like this. I'm pretty sure that would be considered shooting from your vehicle, and here in Nevada, that is illegal.

Out of curiosity, why not just build a bench that sits on the ground and avoid dealing with the jackstands to stabilize the vehcle?

:)
