Specatacular piece of work, what a son! More than that though I have to say what a dad to deserve such a fine gift of loving workmanship. Nice kids often come from nice parents, your dad must be one heck of a man!

WOW!!!!!!! That's a thing of beauty. You Dad is a lucky guy to have a Son like you!!

That is a very classy, very tasteful looking gun.
And a very nice gift for your old man.

If you think dad might see this somehow, let one of the moderators know. We can hide a thread from public view and bring it back after Christmas.

That's going to be some Christmas!

If I were to get a gun like that I would cry:what: :D

Great job and great pics:D

I bought my dad a Ruger MKII w/6" barrel for his birthday one year.:D :D

Great gift, your Dad will be proud to own it. But I have to ask how you got that serial number? Was this a pistol that was manufactured back before the Govt. required them, or was it done as a custom "built from the ground up" pistol?:)

Custom built, from the ground up, by myself, I might add. Except the custom ordered frame from Caspian Arms and the bluing. They'll stamp your frame with any number you want, as long as they already have not used it.
Dad had an old colt with and unusable frame and a bunch of bad parts in it. I took it from there and ran with it. Took 8 weeks from time of ordering frame to getting back from bluer.
