I have a Model 10 with the 4" pencil barrel and I really like it. I have always wanted one of the snubbies and I have been watching for a nice one for several years now. I came across this one on gunbroker a couple of days ago and decided to buy it. I should have it some time next week.

Goregous gun, congrats! I used to have a nickle plated model 10 snubbie and regret selling it.

Nice!

I bought a snub K (after lots of looking) not too long ago as well; It's an exciting purchase.

Carry piece?

It's a nice one.

I am glad I bought this one. When I got it today it was in never fired condition, no turn ring on the cylinder. It is hard to believe that a gun made in 1963, which is incidentally five years before I was born could be in an unfired state. Well I buy em to shoot so it will start playing catch-up soon but I will be the first to pull the trigger on this jewel.

nice snubby

You got a nice one, much better than new ones which cost much more. I especially like the craftmanship in the older revolvers. They are a better bargain too. Have much fun shooting it. Sincerely , snooperman

RANGE REPORT! RANGE REPORT! RANGE REPORT! WE WANN'A RANGE REPORT!

Up this way I can't own such a gun so I have to live vicariously through your experiences..... :D

I just recently got my own Model 10 with the 6 inch barrel and I've shot a 10 with a 4 inch. Any comments you can share between this new snubbie and your 4 inch will help me to appreciate the difference between the barrel lengths. Sights, sounds, recoil and flash. Let us know.

HiMarano35,

Very nice...congratulations..!

I actually saw that one on GB and had admired it.

It's a 10-5? If memory serve?

Really fine Snubby you have there...beautiful condition...good find!

BCryder I have not gotten to shoot it yet but I hope to by the end of the week. I will post in this thread how it shoots.

Yes it is a Model 10-5. My four inch pencil barrel is a 10-5 also.

Congrats - Good Snag

I've been watching that gun on GB for several months waiting for the price to come down. It didn't and I missed out. Maybe I can find one equally as nice to add to complete my set of 10-5s.

I would have preferred to get it a little cheaper

but I it looked to be in good shape. The seller did not say it was unfired and when I saw that it was I felt ok about the price.
