As the title states, Im looking for some instruction videos to dome some in home training. Im just looking to see what series is more well-regarded" for someone who has to training.

I know videos aren't a replacement for actual training, Im just thinking if I go take a carbine course, Ill be playing catch-up off the back and not get my full money worth.

So of the ones in the pole which would you chose.

Mag Pul The Art of the Tactical Carbine

Thunder Ranch Urban Rifle

Well...
After looking around a bit, that about all I can find from a good source.

There's all the stuff from Gun video URL="http://gunvideo.com/index.php?category_id=76&page=1&nothumbs=&filter_1=&filter_2=&filter_3=&filter_4=" but I dont know if I would trust it.

What do you guys use / think?

The Magpul DVD is a good one. Tactical Response also has a Fighting Rifle DVD out but for the money you can’t beat the Magpul offering

Someone- I think from Magpul suggested watching a training video to get oriented with the material but to wait to practice it until you actually take a class & get some instruction & critique time from someone who knows what they’re doing. Then go back & watch the DVD again & use it as a reminder when you dry practice.

That makes a lot of sense to me because you’ll be familiar-ish with the material & you won’t have created training scars from trying to (possibly incorrectly) run some of the drills on the DVD.

Books, videos, YouTube, etc. can be great resources but there is no substitute for real human interaction & training under a watchful & skilled teacher.

Tom Givens with Rangemaster just put out a good set of DVD's. The NTI Team reviewed them over the winter over a few Study Groups for some constructive feedback for Tom. I came away with the conclusion they would serve any beginner well as introductory material, and I can personally recommend them without any reservations for that purpose.

not really a fan of the Magpul DVD...seems to me that a lot of the tactics used are a bit watered down...some of the drills are nice though. As i've said...anything's worth watching once.
