Son is tall, about 6' 3" with arms to match. The guns I own don't really fit him the best - a Rem 700, Ruger M77s. He's looking at picking up a 260 Rem, he likes SS. Been going to gun stores trying to fit him and find a make that he likes but not a lot of options near us.

Any suggestions?

Find a gun he likes and then adjust it to appropriate length by adding a thicker recoil pad and or spacers. Another option is a rifle coming with an adjustable stock from the factory, even if they sometimes look more tacticool.

get a common action (rem700) and replace the stock with one that is adjustable

Buy a basic Remington 700 and get the new Magpul Hunter stock. It has spacers that you can add or remove to change the LOP.

I think he can use a standard 13.5 inch pull if he moves the scope further forward in the rings. Let me say it a different way, when he looks through the scope on your rifles the scope is too close to his eye so he thinks the stock is too short. The length of pull can be adjusted to some degree just by moving the scope forward or rearward in the rings or by changing the rings so the scope can be moved. It doesn't matter where the trigger hand is located as long as long as his cheek rests on the stock and he can see through the scope.

The way I set my scopes up is easy, you might have him try it;
loosen the scope in the rings to allow movement by hand. Mount the rifle with your eyes closed a few times, to find a good cheek weld. Nice and repeatable. Now, have someone move the scope back or forward until the scope is at the right spot. Level the scope and lock it down.

Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions. Certainly gives me some ideas moving forward.

I concur with earlier suggestions about scope position. I'm about same size, arms, etc, as your son, and us taller guys tent to "crawl" forward on the comb. Meaning the scope needs to be positioned well forward. As a rule of thumb I usually position my scopes so the rear of the eyepiece is about even with backside of bolt, as shown in attached photo. This allows room for my stock crawling with plenty of eye relief. I expect the same will work well for your son.

Get whatever rifle he likes best and get a new Boyd's stock for it. I was the same way so I bought a Boyd's stock for my savage 11 and when ordering you can get a customs length for like $15 or $25. Definitely worth it as my rifle fits me a lot better.
