I am looking for the best ammo to shoot out of my new P95 for practice and self defence.
If you own a p95 what shoots best for you brand and weight +p or not?
I will be getting my gun next week.
I was going to buy some winchester FMJ and some Remington UMC for practice to start with and some federal hyda-shoks for self defence only because I can buy them local at Dick's sporting goods.
I will be buying large amounts from cheaper than dirt also but don't want to waist time on ammo that is not very accurate out of this gun.
Thinking of

Golden saber
hornady tap
gold dot
S&B

I'm just not sure what is the best weight bullet I'v always liked lighter and faster bullets for my rifles because you get good expansion.

Think "DoubleTap" 115 gn Gold Dot jhp...

Price is roughly $28 per box of 50..
Quality ammo, and Hot, hot, hot....

My Walther PPS loves the stuff...

You can buy online.

Best Wishes,

J.Pomeroy

"Best" ammo? No real way to tell until you try some different brands.

However, I have had a P95 for 8 years and it has functioned flawlessly with every type of 9mm I have fed it. I use Blazer Brass and WWB at the range and Speer Gold Dot 124+p as my defense load.

Buy a few boxes and try them out.

Mine shoots anything I put in th mag- 110 grain thru 147 grain. Kind of like Mikey- it will eat anything.

I have been trying out some different ammo for my Ruger as well. Federal hydrashocks and Federal +P+ have been super accurate and very good performing ammo so far out of this gun.

I use the Winchester White Box 147 gr HP's in my KP95 when i carry and they work flawlessly. But then again everything works flawlessly in it.

Has anyone tryed the magtec +p+ in 115 gr.JHP it has 451 and 1326 that is the knock down power of a 40 and faster than 40 or 9 mm.
I found these ballistics at the sportsmans guide web site.
