If you can find a Remington M700 made in the 70's, you'll find why that model was considered by many as the finest rifle made, in it's price range. Well finished, accurate and reliable.

Weatherby Vanguard is a lot of rifle for the price. If you can come up with a little more, the new Winchester Model 70 featherweight is really nice.
