Got an early Christmas present, a s&w 69 with the 2.75" barrel. I'm trying to turn it into my daily carry and trail gun all in one without having to change guns like I have been doing. (Sig 229 "40" and Redhawk "44")

Any suggestions on upgraded grips, sights, or holsters? And without starting an ammo war, a good 44spcl

I already have speedloaders and pouch on order.

Thank you in advance. And yes I do realize this isn't an optimal carry gun but I find that the more I enjoy shooting a gun the more I tend to practice and take exercises more seriously.

A good 240gr SWC/SWCHP over 8gr of unique would make a pretty solid choice for ammo I'd think.

Kim Arhends makes some fantastic grips. I'd probably pop for some Combats for that wheel gun. Good mix of concealable and controllable.

I'd probably grab a high vis front sight of some kind as well

44Spl?
I have hunted VERY successfully with a SWC over a hot *bulls-eye* charge in a magnum case.

Grips?
I have tried several and just keep coming back to S&W *hogues*. They work best for me but I understand differing views.

Sights?
I have shot these a few times and love them for their snag-free nature. I have two sets on order now. I generally dedicate many of my handguns to particular rounds and such - VERY seldom have applied a tool to an adjustable sight in any case. Relax folks - I ALREADY know that these don't make sense to a lot of you. Elevation is adjustable, windage is like sour-mash..... ONLY from Kan-tuk-ee!

First time I heard of iwb straps on a pancake, so I had to order one, along with the d&l rear sight. As for the grips there are too many choices, hopefully I'll be able to wrap my hands around a few at the next gun show.
