Looking for a good Rem. 700 Adjustable Cheek peice for PSS. So far best I've seen is making one and drilling the stock. Anyone have pix or advice on aftermarket parts. Thanks

I wasn't that talented to figure it out so I spent $410 on a HS Precision PRT25 stock. Here is a picture.

I have used two over the years. The first one was a simple homemade model- 100 mph tape and some foam padding. Cut it to fit me- if it wears out just replace the foam. Worked very well. I now use the Blackhawk cheekpiece, the model with three inserts. Use the appropriate inserts so you can get the eye relief, you can take it off and still have the same fit.
If you do get a stock with one, make sure you know the height, say if you clean, move it down, then you will know where it goes when you move it back.

Thanks for the info guys, I use a Springfield arms Government mil-dot scope, and the darn thing has a 56 Objective so it stands up pretty good even when theres 1/8 inch between it and the barrel with 30mm. rings.

FN has a new target rifel and its stock has a curved peice of metal with two bolt running through it and you can slide up the front or the back to your liking. Looked pretty good, but then theres two holes in my PSS stock.....

I also have another option, which requires making a cal to my machinist again, dos anyone know if the stock is hollow in the butt or solid? Its hard to explain I'll have to find pix.

Thanks guys

I made my own that looks similar to El Rojo's. I started with a chunk of foam that I carved out of an old Nissan headrest. When it was about the right shape I covered it in ShoeGoo, smearing the stuff on liberally. After a day set time, I took it to my bench grinder for contouring. Then more shoegoo. I put about 5 layers of shoegoo on and contoured on the grinder between each setting. Then painted it tactical black.I did not want it permanently attached to the riflestock so I shoegooed both sides of a 2" swath of velcro (re-cycled surf leash) to the riflestock and cheekpeice. Viola, velcro removable cheekpeice. I recommend putting the soft and fuzzy piece of velcro on the stock and not the ruff and scratchy.

It turned out kinda spongy and helped the ergonomics considerably.

Oh, I'll sell you the plans for $200.....Ha ha

I'm also using the Blackhawk adj cheekpiece unit. It works pretty good. I have it on a Hogue Overmold stock on my Mini-14. Brings my eyes level with the scope. YOu could also sell the PSS stock and get an adj stock. If would help recoup some of the money. Wow 56mm objective. I have a 50mm obj scope on my pss and I think that's big!!
