So my beloved belly band is going to need replacement soon, and I'm considering a "real" holster.

HOWEVER, I like to carry at 12 o'clock often for a variety of reasons.

With that in mind, suggestions?

Guns are: G30, G27.

Is there such thing as a holster that would fit more than one gun?

Also, I would prefer kydex to leather, as it is generally quite thinner.

Good DR...if you want to carry at 12.00...I dont know what to tell you in the way to carry the best...not many do it.
I can tell you you want a flexible holster to give alittle with the bending youll be doing in that region. Kydex doesnt give like leather does...
Your best bet is with a very horizontal profile Cross Draw holster.
It wont be the fastest draw but will keep the muzzle/barrel of the gun away from......:uhoh: well, you know! Its not an easy stop to conceal even with a cover garment...the angle of the grip wont hide naturally or as naturally as it can in other locations.
The closest Id recommend is 11.00 carry and a good cross draw rig.....it depends on the gun, rig and dress...
Shoot well

You want to carry in the 12:00 position? As in below your belly button and above...?! You sure?

Thunderwear?

Although I'd want to assure myself of the safety of the Glock trigger system in that type of "soft" holster.

A Suggestion!

I would urge you to peruse the FIST website. FYI the URL is http://www.fist-inc.com/. Because of your desire to carry at the 12:00 position the FIST #1 Clip holster comes to mind. I have several, one for a Glock 27, and it fits in that position quite handily! When I read your post I tried it! Its an IWB model and IMHO it concealed quite well. As to Kydex you will find that Jim Murnak makes everything in Kydex that he makes in leather. So, give the site a look and note the phone number. Mr. Murnak is a very nice man and will be happy to discuss the matter with you. Oh yes! You will find that both the cost and the wait time are very reasonable for a true custom holster. FWIW Good shooting
