Looking for a non plastic SA/DA 9mm

I can't understand why you don't like the beretta. It is and will remain my #1-5 pick for automatics in different flavors. My preference is this base design in 9mm, 40sw, .380, 32acp, and 25acp. It would get the nod in others if they were made in 10mm or 45acp...but in 22lr I have to go to the ruger mk1.

I agree that a 3rd Gen s&w feels mighty nice, and a RIA 1911 in 22tcm would be great too (comes with both 22tcm and 9mm barrels) but the 1911 is SA. Beyond these, I would look at 9mm s&w k frame revolvers in 9mm.

Good move Sky Dog, you bought it before I could suggest you get a 75b and avoid the clones due to spotty parts and service and poor resale value. Hard to beat a CZ for the price.
9 fingers
Here is my newest 75b, a glossy blue 9mm:

Very nice, Nine Fingers....I put mine through the paces Sunday at the range. Man, this is a good shooting gun. I had some FTF problems with my 124 gr. RN reloads. Factory ammo works great. I'm a firm believer in low bore axis handguns. I couldn't be happier.

Solid choice. My CZ75B is still going strong several thousand rounds in. If my experience is normal, you can expect a long and problem free relationship with the gun.

Don't get me wrong. I love my 92 so much I sent it back to Beretta and had it tricked out.
crowned barrel, extended mag release, trigger job and skeletonized hammer. It's my go to target pistol. Light years ahead of my CZ. I don't want to take a chance with it as a carry piece. That is what the CZ is for. Thanks for the concern

Take a look at www.Budsgunshop.com. They are selling Turkish Canilk L-120 clones of the CZ 75s for under $400.00. They are all sttel.

While I am not a fan of Turk guns, what I have read about them seems to be positive.

Update to previous post: I fell victim to my own propaganda and ordered a Canik from Bud's. When I examined it at the LGS, I was very disappointed to find that the slide overlapped the back of the frame by close to 1/16". Not a very good fit, so it went back to Buds.

After my bad experiences with this Canik, a Regent R100, two Sarsilmaz shotguns and a Kiraikkale .380, I think I'm done for good with Turkish firearms.

As always, YMMV.
