I'm setting up my Enfield No. 4 mk 1* as a vintage "sniper" rifle. I'm currently trying to figure out what scope to put on it, to complete the look. I'm after something that looks older that doesn't have a large belled objective (the target end of the scope, not the one by your eye). I'm not totally sure what to even look for, besides just checking pawn shops and gun stores for old scopes. Does anyone have a brand name and model name to start looking at? The only name and model I've managed to track down is a Lyman Alaskan, but I'd prefer something a bit shorter. Besides an Alaskan is an actual vintage scope that's worth a decent bit, so something cheaper would be good.
I figured most scope manufactures now days would produce a low power (below 3x) that would fit the bill, but I'm not seeing anything. Any suggestions guys?
