I am preparing my next project.
Had a chance to look up close at two versions of an old school Lyman Alaskan scope. Very nice scope, bright clear view. My friend had them mounted on a Swede Mauser and a M99 Savage. Looked right at home.
I have read about some of the other old school scopes. Besides Lyman. Weaver, And the Bushnell Scopechief.
Assuming I can find the right rifle, I plan to use my C&R to get a RC98, restock, add removable scope mounts and old school optics for an old school elk rifle. I would like to get a vintage scope under 4x.
Need some input on the older vintage scopes, what's good, what's available on the open market. Ebay has many to choose from.
Thanks
