Fella's;

Specifically, I'm looking to see if any manufacturer produces, for sale in this country, a left hand bolt action rifle in 6.5 Swedish Mauser.

Otherwise I'm faced with building one, which I can certainly do, but wouldn't mind saving more than a coupla bucks if a decent off-the-shelf gun is out there somewhere. It doesn't have to be new, so if you know that from 1958 to 1965 Ludefisk Arms imported 6.5's and LHB's were included, please let me know.

And if you're going to suggest I just use the "other" version, the one with the bolt on the wrong side, just leave now & don't let the door hit ya on the butt.

CZ might make one. Or you could buy a left-handed Savage long action, and buy a 6.5X55 barrel from ER Shaw. Sell your old barrel, put the new one on in 15 minutes. I did that on a pawn shop 110 I got for $175.

Tikka T3 Hunter comes in a left-hand version, and it is offered in the 6.5x55 SE. It is offered here, but I don't know how easy it would be for you to find a dealer that carries them.

Bradm;

I appreciate the input, but "here" is a rather large data base for me to search. Could you please be just a bit more specific?

Sorry - I meant that the left-handed versions are imported to the US in general. You probably would need to ask your dealer to special order them, but according to Beretta, they are available. The 6.5x55 doesn't seem to be popular enough to carry as a regular stock item, unfortunately.

CB900F,

Go to CZ's, Tikka's and other web sites, see what is available. Find a dealer in your area that will order guns and if a gun is available they can order one for you. Shop a few dealers and perhaps save plenty.
A web site such as Gunbroker will give you a good list of FFL's near your location that will do this service for a fee and some of their prices or percentages charged.
Good luck lefty's often do need to be ordered.

The thread title threw me off.

Groucho: Would you like a suite on the third floor?
Chico: I'll take a pollack in the basement, I don't care.

Was told by Beretta that they would begin importing the Tikka T3 SS 6.5x55 into the US again in the next 3 to 6 months. Been wanting one, so I guess I wait.........
