I have an (1851 Griswold & Gunnison)-Mykeal. .36cal bp pistol made by Uberti in 1967 imported through Navy Arms Co. Looking for a value of the set. Never fired. Gun is in 95% condition with slight blueing wear on barrel where it has been sitting in the wooden presentation box.

That's not an 1851 Colt reproduction. It's a replica of a Confederate States Griswold & Gunnison revolver. Wasn't aware they were sold in cased sets. Colt never made a brass framed, round barrel 1851; the 1851 Revolver in Naval Caliber was steel framed and had an octagonal barrel.

I don't have a value at the tip of my fingers. I'll look it up and get back later if someone else (Fingers, maybe?) hasn't stepped in.

I'll support mykeals assessment as to where this falls historically, I'd call it a Confederate States Griswold & Gunnison revolver, a Colt 1851 Revolver was steel framed and had an octagonal barrel.

As to what the importer (Navy Arms) may have called it, I'm not sure. I've seen brass frames called "Texas", "Reb", "Rebel", "Confederate", "Brass" and probably more.

In MY OPINION, I'd value the revolver at about $100 retail, and the rest a combined value of $50-$60. (I'm sure many will disagree, one way or the other)

If I was trying to sell it I'd ask about $200

I'd consider that "Top Dollar" for a used private party deal and would not count on it, but it could happen.

The value? What Mykeal said - If you want to sell the boxed set, start at $200 and if you don't get any takers, reduce price gradually to not less than $150.
If you just want to sell just the revolver, start at $150 and let yourself get talked down to not less than $100.

Values can be variable and subject to where it's being sold. Cabela's currently lists the G&G for $209, and Taylor's had it on sale for $169 within the past year which quickly sold out. But that's for a new Pietta model and not a 1967 Uberti with presentation case that some might consider to be more of a collectible.
The entire set could be worth somewhere between $200 - $250 to someone who really appreciates it for being older production and less common. :)

To give credit where it's due - that was Malachi Leviticus Blue who provided the value estimate, not me.:)

I begged off until I could look at my references, which arcticap has kindly done. My own opinion at this point would be about $50 more than Malachi, as arcticap suggests, but that could easily be reduced by condition.

2011 Blue Book lists the Pietta made 1860 Navy Reb model Griswold & Gunnison cased set with the following values:

100% - $295
98% - $245
90% - $200
80% - $165

This set has a Uberti G&G that is valued hgher than the Pietta G&G in the Blue Book. I would value the set at least at $295 and wouldn't take less than $275
