I just got a Sig 2022. Love it. Now I'm looking for carry options. What holsters - IWB, hip, SOB, other - are good values for this pistol?

Thanks in advance.

I have the 2340...

I never really found anything that worked better than a bellyband for my SIG Pro (IWB, anyway). There ain't exactly an abundance of holsters made for them... at least not that I came across... It is an excellent gun though, and should serve you well. I sometimes used a Bianchi Snaplok #84 to carry it OWB, but that holster wasn't exactly made for it so I'll stop just short of recommending it. I had a Bianchi IWB for it that didn't work well at all, so I won't even bother telling you about it.

Positives: The SIG Pro is like the Rodney Dangerfield of SIG pistols... it gets no respect. It's just as good a weapon as any of the P series SIGs, and is lighter with a better trigger.

Negatives: A little thick for CC, not a lot of holster selection. If you can get past these two things, then there are virtually no negatives. You're just going to have to do some looking around before you find the perfect holster for it.

Good luck, and congrats on a great pistol!

What caliber is yours? :)

I was rather curious about this myself. I purchased a 2022 (.357sig) a few weeks ago and there really isn't a lot of holsters made for it yet.

I also agree that this is a vastly overlooked pistol. Mine was CPO ($450). It looked brand new and shoots great. I haven't had a single problem with it after 200 rounds (50 of which had a light/laser mounted to it).

I would like to know if holsters made for the 2340 would fit the 2022. I'm thinking they would, but I don't want to waste the money if they won't and I can't find any around town that I can test with.

I own a SP2022 and a SP2009 and I think they are the best all-around carry guns out there. The best holster I've found for CCW is one made by "CrossBreed Holsters". My CrossBreed IWB is very comfortable, draw is slick as it gets and retention is good. I've tried a lot of different holsters but this one is the best I've used so far. I used it at 2 LFI classes and for IDPA. The prices are very good.
