I have a lot of pages on my website with models of guns from different manufacturers, but right now I don't have any comments from owners, which I think other shooters might appreciate reading.

If you have a couple of minutes to add your comments about a Springfield rifle you own or have owned, I know that a lot of other people would appreciate hearing your opinion.

If you have the time to comment, please go here to find a link to your model. The comment section is at the bottom of each rifle's page.

Thanks.

They've changed the stock description from fiberglass (which is what Springfield used when that page was created) to what they're now calling "composite". I've changed the description to "composite" now.

You can view the changes here.

Thanks for taking the time to look, henschman.

I owned a Springfield SAR8 back in 2002. It had the aluminum receiver. I was excited about it till I took it to the range and found that it would not zero at all. Come to find out, the gas regulator that the front sight sat on was mounted crooked. Sent it back to Springfield, they called me and told me they couldn't fix it, but they would send it back if I liked, or trade me for an M1A. So I took the M1A. I've also seen quite a few of the Aluminum SAR8's, and they have all had the same problem mine had with the front sight being crooked. It's too bad Springfield could not have corrected this problem somehow. I wish they would bring the original SAR8 back.

Since getting my M1A, I've enjoyed that thoroughly. I have the standard model with walnut stock. I have not shot it much, barely 100 rounds. So I'm still figuring out what grain I want to put through it. Fun shooter, and looks nice. Never had any problems with it!

I have owned 7 of them starting in 1979. Surplus, factory and roll my own ammo, not one malfunction of any kind. Not one. Its the only semi-auto I completely trust.

I was hoping that folks would enter their comments on the rifle pages on the site, and not just here on THR. ;)
