Does anybody out there know of any company that makes custom grips for a Star M43 Firestar ? I was wondering if anyone made wood grips for these pistols . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to say this, but I doubt that you'll find them from any of the usual aftermarket outfits. I looked for years without any luck.

The cheapest help I can offer is the Hogue "Hand All". You'll have to do some trimming, but it does work and makes a good deal of difference. Some rubber cement may be necessary after some use to keep it from shifting position on you. Not a biggie, and it rubs right off the metal if you don't like it.

Other than that, I'm afraid that the only option is to contact one of the several custom makers and work out what you'd like and what it'd cost.

FWIW, I've carried a Starvel-finished M43 regularly in the warmer months for over eleven years. While the small grip is something of a challenge for my rather large hands, I've been able to adapt my style to use it quite well.

IIWY, I'd try the Hand All and see how you like it. It may well be all you really need.
