Looking for used, automatic, clay target throwers

does anyone have information on where to buy used, automatic clay throwers in good condition? these are the machines used at skeet/clays courses that have motors and a capacity of 200-300 targets.

I have checked eBay, and the Sporting Clays mags.

There must be a market for used throwers, but I can't find sellers. these machines sell new for between $2,000 and $5,000

please help.

Check on the internet and find all of the sporting clay courses in your vicinity. Then, start calling and seeing if they are replacing any throwers... and wanting to sell the old ones. The one big caveat is that many clays courses will have one or two "problem" machines. Those are often the first ones to be swapped out.

Check out the forums at www.trapshooters.com as they frequently have automatic traps for sale and info on the machines and their maintance.

Be warned though, the site is confusing to navigate, and the search function is cumbersome. Otherwise, it's a wealth of information.

Uhhh, i don't claim to know nothing about nothing, but talking with the guy at the range one day, he told me they cost 8,000 to 10,000 used.
plus the house, plus electrical work, etc.

Also i saw the things on the ZZ birds and that kit is about 10 grand, so that makes me think that 10k is a reasonable guess.

Oh, and apparantly wobble machines cost more.

when you buy one, can I come over?

One of the threads on the trapshooters.com page mentioned one that Cabela's sells called the Atlas. It runs for around $895 or so.
