Loose roll pin on a PSA AR

I am deeply disappointed in PSA but that is another story for another day.

I purchased everything to build a complete AR from PSA. The lower went together great and everything worked perfectly the first time for about 20 rounds.

The roll pin that holds the trigger in place works itself out after about 10 rounds and the trigger goes sideways in the lower enough to lock the gun up.

I have contacted PSA through email customer service and on FB with no response. To me either the roll pin is too small or the hole in the lower is too large.

Can I get slightly larger pins anywhere and from whom? Looking for recommendations. Thanks in advance

The pins are held in by the hammer/trigger springs. If your pins are walking, chances are that the FCG springs are not installed correctly.

No worries - its easy to fix.

Sounds pretty loose, there may be a parts kit pin that will work or try cleaning the holes in the receiver and the pin ends and use a bead of thread locker on each end. let it dry good, then use primer sealant or clear fingernail polish to paint the ends of each. If that don't work your gonna have to make a new pin. There are companies that do that, but they want to make a batch of them. In worst case you could make a pin out of drill rod and fit it with e-clips. Maybe someone will chime in with a better idea. Good luck.

^^^^^ What rbernie said. That is the most common problem. The pins are a slip fit in the frame (it's aluminum, they are steel). If the spring legs are not positioned properly with the legs in the grooves of the pins, the pins will walk every time. Measure your pin diameters and report here if you are really concerned about that issue.

And if you are using a roll-pin for the trigger pin??

You got the wrong pin in it.

Thanks guys, it was the spring not hitting the grooves correctly. It is fixed, or at least I think it is. I can't work it out now anyway and will know more when I get to fire it.

BTW - it is the correct pin and I know it is not a roll pin, poor nomenclature on my part. the pin measured .1535. Still seems to go in very easily but if the springs hold it in then it works.
