Gun poll in the Potomac News concerning FTF background checks:

potomacnews.com

Bottom of the page on the right. Currently losing 53% to 39%.

Remember to paste the url for the site so it doesn't track back to THR.

Should unlicensed sellers at gun shows be allowed to sell guns without performing a background check on the buyer?
Yes
No
Guns should be illegal

Not sure how. I just cut and pasted. Is that OK?
hso's comment is directed at those going from here to the poll you posted.

Best to just right click on the link, copy it to the clipboard, open a new window and paste it into the address line.

Clicking on that link will show up on the potomacnews.com server logs as a referal from here.

Often when we all hit a poll, if their sysadmin is any good he'll check the logs and then accuse us of cheating and throw the poll results away.

As of my vote, here's the results:
Yes 147 44%
No 166 49%
Guns should be illegal 21 6%

so we need to get yes up over both "No" and "Guns should be illegal"

Flips through dictionary, looking up "loaded question"

Finds:

Should unlicensed sellers at gun shows be allowed to sell guns without performing a background check on the buyer?

How about loading it the other way?

In order to sell their property, should people be required to obtain federal licences and run criminal background checks on buyers?

Not the worst thing in the world IMO.
That only happens when WE win. ;)

And actually thats the best we can hope for, if we lose the poll makes news, if we win they bury it.

[sarcasm]No, there's no media bias.[/sarcasm]

Yes 178 48%
No 167 45%
Guns should be illegal 21 5%

Apparently 5% of the voters would have preferred brittish rule.

Biased result too. When they see the referrer on each of those hits leads back to THR, they'll know the fix is in.
That's why you copy the url to the clipboard, open a new browser window, and paste the URL to the new window.

OR... you can bias it the other way. Open a new browser window, go to www.vpc.org, paste in the URL of the poll and then they'll see all the biased results coming from the VPC. Won't that confuse them?

Should unlicensed sellers at gun shows be allowed to sell guns without performing a background check on the buyer?
Yes 299 59%
No 179 35%
Guns should be illegal 21 4%

---
It seems that I voted right after Myself. :p

After I voted it was:

Yes - 322 - 61%
No - 181 - 34%
Guns should be illegal - 22 - 4%

So we're winning. :D

Which means they'll probably ignore the poll results. :banghead:
