Lost my knife; need replacement

Well, I've lost my everyday carry knife, a Kershaw/Ken Onion Blackout (never knew it had a name) assisted-opening folding knife. Bummer. I like the size, shape and feel of the handle and blade.

So, I need a replacement or two. Any suggestions?

Preferences:

Folding pocket knife with pocket clip.
Assisted opening.
Thumb stud preferred over thumb hole.
3"-4" blade, no serrations.
Durability over razor-edge sharpness.
Grippy handle, non-slip.

Also, if you know of a good retailer to get the Kershaw Blackout, pass it on.

Look at a Benchmade Monochrome, not speed assist...but good.

Try Evil-Bay... I think 'knifecenter' is the big Kershaw sellor - with great prices. I have a friend who is pleased with their service. Incidently, the Kershaw Blur is a great assisted opener - and they had the new plain blade version in S30V steel for ~$75 + s/h. I have a similar 'black' Blur essentially unused in the drawer - and my original now high mileage red Blur. It is a bit dinged - has seen lots of nasty duty, as I still have a 'pretty' one. It is about to need sharpening - it has really lasted, for a 440 steel. Very sturdy - and, the skate tape inserts work and last, too.

Of course, if you want the opposite of what your listed requirements were, look at the Spyderco C41PBK Native, with S30V steel, at Wally World - $40! I am very pleased with mine - and, like the Blur, it was made in the USA.

Do you know how you lost it? What I'm getting at is I almost never heard of someone losing a knife before pocket clips became all the rage. I've snagged a clip on just about everything imaginable from seat belts to brush and undergrowth to the Lazy Boy recliner. I have been very fortunate to find those "whoopsies" but sooner or later the law of averages is going to catch up with me. I'm seriously considering going back to an inside the pocket carry or belt pouch only for folders. BTW - nothing I've ever picked up felt like one of those Ken Onion designs so maybe you just have to bite the bullet and get another one. Good luck.
