It is about 3' here right now, with a slight breeze. We cancelled.
When its cold guys bring propane heaters and put them on their wagon. Most popular place on the stage.
As far as keeping the gun warm, no idea other than putting ammo through it or shoot a plastic gun.

I was at an IDPA classifier in Liberty Hill Texas today. One guy kept reporting the temp and wind chill.
34 and blowing.
Whenever I was "on deck" I would put a hand inside my clothes to try and warm my hand.
Finally someone brought their vehicle into the berm and kept it running. Holding your hands over the vents was VERY helpful.
