Lower guts,

Just picked up my lower parts from FBMG, and I have detailed assembly instructions, I was just kind of wondering, before I put them in, should I strip off all the oil/preservative from the parts, put them in clean? (It's a Stag kit.)

The guy at the counter said sometimes he bevels the pin for the bolt lock to make it go in easier. I figured I would try it before I started doing surgery, but are there any other obvious prep tips?

I put in my Stag kit with CLP and a rag. It's worked fine ever since. I'd definitely strip off the preservacrud.

I've built more than a handful of lowers, and I've never made any mods to the bits. I just oil them with CLP and install them.
