Lower option

i knkw this is the 10,000,000 thread about ar so far this week, and i'm happy because they have helped me a lot,

now, i have 2 stripped lowers, one is a Spike's Tactical for 100 dollars and the other is Double Star for 105, now...i can get a Complete Double star lower for $210 and...for Spikes i would have to buy the lower kit plus a stock, what would you get?

Cheapest stripped lower I can buy is what I do, then I build it up from there. It ends up being cheaper and I can buy the parts I want to have the exact AR I desire.

for a plain , stripped lower, Essential arms cannot be beat, 75 or 85 bucks, depending if you want it hard coated or not.

essential has been the most cost effective (forged and good looking) for many years.

however, there's a thread on m4carbine.net where charles daly is selling some pre-production and blemished lowers at very attractive prices. that's a "while it lasts" sort of deal though.

and the guys selling lowers with custom engraving is an interesting option as well.

in any event, i wouldn't buy any of the three you have listed.

cool man, i just saw a spike lower at the gunshow and they look sweet, but it was a bit high, ($145) so i just get it online
