Lower permit fees in NYC??

I saw this in the NY Post yesterday.
Apparently, Bloomberg, an anti-gun mayor, beleives this is necessary so the NRA does not challenge the fees as being excessive (now around $300?). Apparently, the anti-gun politians in NYC do not agree, must vote on any change, so it may be only wishful thinking.
I'm glad I no longer live in NYC.

I like how people complain that the new cost is too low... cripes. Only in NYC to people complain about fees being too low...
