Hey folks,

Getting ready to load up some 30 Remington deer loads for my brother's old Remington Model 8. (Very cool rifle by the way!) Anyway, he provided a bunch of sized/primed brass so I'll be loading with some 3031 and 150gr RN Interlocks using a RCBS seating/crimping die.

Question. Do I need to lube the already full sized brass to seat/crimp the bullets? Fingered I ask since I have never started with pre-sized/primed brass before.

Thanks in advance

Thanks what I was kind of thinking. But wanted to get that second opinion! Thanks for the quick response man.

Be well

Are you asking about case sizing lube or bullet seating lube just courious, bullet seating lube does allow the bullet to seat smoothly,
Some say increase accuracy and
Help prevent bullet to case weld on longer term stored ammo ,
Needed not really in my opinion
I have used the redding bullet dry lube

Normally, the case isn't touched by, no case to die contact with the seating die. If crimping, there is a very small portion of the case mouth that comes in contact with the crimp die. No lube is needed for these operations..
