After shooting 5 cylinders of unlubed roundballs last week I noticed I had a little leading in the barrel of my ROA that I couldn't get out with a brass brush. So yesterday I put 6 cylinders of lubed conicals through it. Afterwards I ran the brush down the barrel only twice, then swabbed it with Ballistol. Nice and clean again!
Lubed conicals sure clean the barrel!

You didn't state if you were using BP or a substitute powder in your ROA, but I can assume it was hot enough to lead your bore. You must have given it quite a scrub prior to using the conicials, as it has been known to me that if the bore is leaded, running more rounds just "irons" the lead into the grooves.
I know that there is kinda a myth that when you have a leaded bore to run some jacketed stuff through it and it's supposed to shoot all the lead out. A lot of smokeless shooters believe this. Many folks, including myself don't buy into this and others have found that the lead is simply pressed deeper into the bore as a result of this practice. I believe that your cleaning prior to the second run was far better than one might have expected. But I was not there so this is just an opinion of one old man
Using Lee Liquid Alox in conjunction with conicals, I've found that this lube works great when using Tripple Seven 3F powder. Since the powder is really quite modern and it's carbon source is sugar based, it really makes for a clean weapon. The powder will even form a touch of it's own lube by it's chemical makeup. This combined with the LLA sure makes my Remington and Colt clones clean shooting pistols.
The LLA doesn't do so hot with BP or Pyrodex though. Kinda makes it turn to a hard cake that is not so pretty

You can buy lead removers from the gun shops. They have a couple of mandrels. One pulls a bronze screen through the bore. A couple of passes down the bore and the lead is gone. It comes out looking like grated cheese.
The other mandrel that comes with it is for cleaning the forcing cone with one of the bronze screens.

Bronze wool or strands of copper "ChoreBoy" pot scrubber wrapped around a nylon bore brush remove bore leading like scraping burnt off toast. Use sans oil for quick results. Copper or bronze can't scratch steel like steel wool or stainless steel brushes will. Removes leading as well as rust spots without damaging the buleing underneath. What's not to like?
I was using 40g of 3f 777 with the roundballs, so yeah pretty hot. I don't like fussing with lubed wads, and I leave it loaded (after cleaning!) so I don't want to foul the powder over time. 30g with the conicals. I didn't scrub the lead off, the lubed conicals did the trick! Not sure what lube is on them, they came pre-lubed from Mark Whyte http://hstrial-mwhyte2.homestead.com/BigLube.html
I'll be seeing if it works again next time I get leading. Cool if it's really this easy.

ROA=RugerOld Army usually. 40gr is the working max load.

That is a stout load to be sure. I have studied tripple seven and found that due to the way its made, it will produce a moist fouling that acts as its own lube. In fact, if you need to clean the bore while shooting, something is amiss. I am still amazed that the lead fouling came out with conicals. They must have some special lube on them that will defy lead!
Had an ROA back in the mid 70's that was a real shooter. Never fired anything but conicals as that was the mould I found where I was at the time. It sure was a good weapon, but like an idiot, I traded it for something else. Kept my colts and remingtons. Musta been in my "I gotta have authentic looking guns" mode then! Boy was that a dumb idea....Miss that ROA now to be sure.
