From what I’ve seen, the unfired rifles are in the $1000 range right now, and appreciating. .

Just looked on Gunbroker and 2 of the wrapped rifles sold in the 800 - 900 range with competitive bidding..

Let me ask here, would it have been permissible to have placed those link here to the complete guns for reference?? Or not allowed??..

The accuracy load I've found is the PPU casing using a 174GRN Sierra BT HP with 44GRN's of H4350, using a Ginex LR Primer, with an OAL of 3.945", I've also experimented with the same bullet, however using 39.5GRN's of H335, with a Federal Magnum Primer, and a Lee crimp die to an OAL of 3.945 in Remington casings. BTW it is shooting over a bench, with sandbags, at 100 yards with a 2-3" group average with 5 shot groups. Note the slightly over 2" groups was with the accuracy load. I've heard of other shooters getting MOA with different weight bullets in those same rifles. I'm sure you'd work your way up to the powders I've suggested along with the OAL's.

I bought mine still in the wrap in the early spring of '94 with matching bayonet for $200. As a high school senior, I was my first actual gun "purchase" after turning 18 and filling out my own 4473. It has been a featured piece of my collection ever since.

Now that is awesome, it is amazing how one can remember those special moments in your life by looking at ones collection. But that is cool to remember back to your 1st purchased rifle nice comment..thanks..

Per myself, my 1st purchased rifle was a 22 , I got at a garage sale, Was on my paper route and paid for it with paper collection money with nickles and dimes...That rifle is beat to hell but its mine and I remember the trip home on my bike with it to this day..

Oh and did I get stopped with it on the way home.??? Yes I did.. Old neighbor man on his porch swing yelled out.. "Hey what do you have there"... I stopped over showed him, he say.. "wait a minute" and he brought me out a half full box of ammo for it... ha ha he also commented on the neighbors dog that was digging up his garden.. But I think he was kidding...Hmmm I think he was???

My dad loves these things. Also had an unfired ( and others ). He sold it at a show a yr or so ago. Sold one of his unfired FALs too.
