I have an M&P .45, and I like it well enough, but I'm thinking about a Springfield LW GI Commander. I'll be carrying in a Milt Sparks Summer Special with a sturdy gun belt. What is YOUR experience carrying the LW Commander?

Commander Crusty

I've always considered the Colt Lightweight Commander to be an outstanding choice for an M1911 style pistol for EDC. Your choice of holster and belt are also first rate.

I have a Colt LTW and its a great pistol Don't know about Springer never liked the way they felt in my hand

I bought a Milt Sparks Summer Special wanted one for long time. Keep a week and sold new owner carried a little over a week and sold. I found it uncomfortable
I know use http://ubgholsters.com for most of my needs

I carried Combat Commanders for a number of years. They carry nicely and comfortably. I used Galco Royal Guards (very similar to the Sparks SS) for a number of years until I got my first Blade Tech, and then never went back to leather with them.

You may want to check out the Sparks VMII too. I find its more comfortable and stable than the Summer Comfort type.

If you sweat, the kydex holsters are the better bet, especially if you have warm summers and are active.
