Lyman .50 Caliber Deerstalker Flintlock

My Dad just got one of these for 300 bucks with a ton of gear (flints, ball, lb of FFFFG, picks and tools, etc.). It appears to be unfired. No soot, carbon, rust/pitting anywhere (not implying if it was fired it would be rusty). I am looking to get a .490 Lyman RB mold for this thing. Patched up, the .490 is what I am looking for right?

Yes, .490 is the proper size round ball mold for a .50 caliber.

Deerstalkers are very nice little rifles. Handy in brush.

I have the Deerstalker in .54 percusion. I really like it, even though " I " can't always keep the hits inside a 6 inch paper plate at 50 yards across a rest. ( emphasis on " I " not the gun) lol.
