Lyman 90 MJT Receiver Sight

I'm considering putting a Lyman target sight on my Savage .22lr. Lyman's page shows mounting bases for 1" and 15/16" receivers. Am I correct in assuming that this measurement refers to receiver diameter?

Yes, the sight base is radiused to fit a curved receiver, either 15/16" or 1" diameter.

Thanks! I found a post on Rimfire Central by someone who'd added a Lyman to their Mark II and used the #64 15/16" base.
