The other day I got my upgraded Lyman Lubrisizer 450 to a 4500, noted that the color is a darker black, and that the handle is on a round ball, actually it is pretty nice (similar to the 450). They also thru in a stick of Lyman Super Moly bullet lube. I was wondering if anybody has tried using this lube, and if so what was the results. States on the tube that it is "All Temperature".

I'm really impressed with the great customer service, and the prompt response in which they ended up in providing me with a new bullet lubricator to replace my broken much older machine.

I had poor service from Lyman and will probably not buy from them again.

I sent my old #55 powder measure in because the fine adjustment was broken. They would not send the parts so I had to send it to them to see if it could be repaired. About 10 days later I get a letter asking for $50 payment so they can send it back. I called them and asked why they repaired it before they asked for approval, the lady says that's not possible, we always ask. Well, she checks her computer and sees they did not call me. Then she says, we can take the parts out and send it back to you. I told her to do that. Then she says she can't because the old parts are not available so either I pay or they keep my powder measure. I ask for a supervisor and I'm told one is not available.

Not once did I raise my voice or act inappropriately but I did have to pay or lose my measure. I did mention at the end that RCBS would have fixed it for free. She said they would not fix a 20 year old tool to which I told her they already did. They did fix my 5-0-5 scale free just a few weeks prior. The scale was bought within weeks of the powder measure.

I'm no longer a fan of Lyman.

Sorry to hear that ArchAngel, I've really had pretty good luck with all my Lyman products, in fact that is the first Lyman product I ever had a problem with, I've got their scales, (digital), and powder measure (Black Powder), and several of there casting molds, and accessories, in fact I had two of there lubrisizers, the old one that is gray, (incidentally that one was well over 20 years old and they stated they would repair it for $100.00), note for $25.00 more they replaced it with the upgrade, and the newer one that is orange.

My question is has anyone used there "Super Moly" bullet lube, I think I might try it if it has any positive reviews, I'm getting ready to cast some 230 SWC .45acp bullets here before to long, otherwise I'll just use my hard lube.

Just so there is no misunderstanding, I'm not bashing Lyman. I'm only relaying what happened to me and only me. I just won't give any company a chance to bite me twice.

I have never tried their Super Moly lube and no one I know has either. Sorry I can't help you with the lube...

No problem there ArchAngel, really sorry to hear of your problem with the company, it can be frustrating as I've had problems with other companies, that I flat out refuse to do service with.
