Lyman Hand Trimmer

Does anyone know what length the Lyman Hand trimmer trims too? It's the trimmer that you can use by hand or drill.

I've tried googling, I tried going to the Lyman site. I assume it trims to the "Trim to length", but you know what they say about assuming.

I have a bunch of .308 and .223 brass that needs trimming.

Like I said, I assume it's the trim to length, but I hate assuming.

I don't know, but I recently bought the pistol kit and some rifle pilots (.30-30, .30-06).

They work really well IMO. Love them for pistol cases. It sure beats hand cranking them. I would also assume trim to length. I can check the .30-30 and .06 when I get home.

I have a WFT for .308, so I did not get a Lyman for that. For match .308 I trim it a hair long with the WFT and finish with the Wilson hand trimmer.

I have a bunch of match brass I need to trim, as was wanting to speed up having to do it with hand trimmer I have now. Lol

I trim my .308 to 2.005

I trim anything from 221 fire ball up to my 280 Rem.using my Lyman,i did how ever ,add the power drill adapter, works real nice

I am going to make a pilot for .458 Win Mag cases. I did 50 on the Forster hand trimmer last night. Works great, but slow.

Well, I went and done it. Just had to run to the Bass Pro on my lunch hour and get the rifle kit. I'll probably order the pilot for my 7mm RM, .38 spec and .357 mag sometime.

I'm going to have to try it out tonight and see how it goes. I'm sure I have a old case somewhere I can test out

I made the pilot today. I left it about .006 long. When I have some fired cases (Just loaded them all), I will get that set.
