Hello Everyone,

If you take the 14.5-inch barrel from the M-4 and permanently attach an A-2 flash suppressor to the end of the barrel is it long enough to qualify for the 16-inch minimum rifle length rule for civilians to legally own it without registering it as an SBR with the Gov't?

If not, what flash suppressor(s) would be long enough?

What method (e.g., silver soldering) should be used to permanently attach the flash suppressor to the barrel?

Thank you for the input.

No, you need one of those extra long A2 flash hiders (made by Sabre defense I think), or a Phantom (my favorite), or a Vortex to make the end of it long enough to be perm attached....

Another option would be to get a 14.7" M4 barrel. I think CMMG and a few others make those lengths, and it allows you to perm attach an A2 instead.
