Just getting back into shooting again. Took both of these to Saddle Creek (Lakeland, Fl) today with a friend. After realizing I need a lot more work on the pistol range, I broke out two long guns I had never fired. Starting with the Mosin Nagant M-44 with gun show surplus ammo at 100 yards, I hit my first three rounds within the 4" circle of a Hoppe"s 50 yard small bore target. I ended up with 70% in the circle with two misfires in 25 rounds. Iron sights only. Moving to the SAR-1 with Wolf FMJ 7.62x39, again I was able to hit the 4" circle on my first shot but at the edge. My next few were wide left and I adjusted to bring it back. Overall, I really enjoyed both of these and ran into a fellow shooter that must live at the range. Three trips and he was there for each and a joy to talk to each time. Great Range Master.
