Based on a short (~1 hour) range session in which I compared both a Glock 22 and a M&P .40 side by side, I was able to shoot the M&P much more accurately. The Glock was by no means bad, IIRC about 3" groups at 15 yards, while the M&P was about 2" or less, easy. At the 7 yard line, there was absolutely no difference, both shot one ragged hole. I think the improved ergonomics on the M&P allowed me to grip the pistol better resulting in better accuracy at greater range. Of course, YMMV. I ended up purchasing a M&P 9 over the .40, just personal preference. Glocks have never really done it for me, while the M&P feels custom-tailored. Love my M&P!
