I'm thinking about getting the m&p .45c as my carry gun. It seems like it would be easier to conceal than my cz75 phantom and full size 1911, but big enough to be a good range gun. 10 round and 14 round mags are available instead of the stock 8 rounds as well.

I carry the m&p .40 at work and like the trigger and overall platform, but am leaning more towards the .45 model.

Does it have any quirks or issues I'm not aware of?

I have owned a M&P45c for several years. It came with the worst trigger of all of my M&Ps. I put the Apex sear in it and now it is my favorite 45. It is very accurate for me. I shoot mostly lead reloads through it. I can't recall even one malfunction that I have had with it.

I agree that it makes a great combo gun for range and carry. I would buy it again.

Agree with the above. It was the worst trigger I have felt. Gritty, long, poor reset.

New gun with the apex kit.

Love it now

Are the new M&P's different, because I have a 9c, and the trigger is quite good. I also had a shield which was very similar. Is it possible they corrected the trigger issue on the newer guns, this one is like 3-4 months old.
I am able to double tap it very nicely.

The 45s had a different trigger in them than the 9s and 40s when I bought mine. I've put the 45 apex parts in a couple of other guns for my friends. I don't know what the current triggers are like in the 45s, but the 45s with the apex parts ended up with great triggers.

Thanks for the info guys. Its weird that they would neglect the .45 trigger and let it be so bad compared to the others.
