There are sleeves available, to go over the magazine body, to get rid of the gap when using full-sized magazines with compact handguns.

Just for clarity, the M&P 1.0 versions have a full size and a compact as do the M&P 2.0, but the M&P 2.0 Compact is a different gun than the M&P 1.0 Compact. However, the full size mags should fit the smaller guns.
