M&P advantage

Hi,

Is the M&P barrel with the witness holes(?) an advantage over normal barrels in case of out of battery firing or case failure as the hot gas has a safe way to escape?

Probably not. You might get a little out of the witness hole, but most of the blast is still going to go down the mag-well.
