M&P Pro Series Reciol Spring

I have a 9L that has 6K - 8K rounds thru it on which I wish to change the recoil spring. I want to get one from Midway and am happy with both the stock rod and spring. Does the 9L use the same spring and guide rod as the "standard" (non-compact) M&P 9? I use it mainly for IDPA, USPSA and Steel Challenge. Is there a IDPA legal guide rod that I might want to consider??

According to Midway the .40 S&W, .357 Sig and 9MM standard (4.25") barrel use the same 16lb spring and guide rod. I field stipped my M&P 40-4.25" and M&P 9L to find that both appear to use the same guide rod assembly. There was no discernable difference between the two but I did notice the M&P 40 was in need of a new spring more so than the 9L. 2 are on the way from Midway.
