I am deciding on going with either a M&P9 Sub or a XD9 Sub . I have had both and like them equally but just wonder what you guys thought . Both have their good and bad points . What would you guys do and why ? Also I would like to hear about parts availability . I know I can get parts all day with my Glocks. But not too sure of these two . I didnt have the XD9sc long enough to even fire it . I have shot the M&P9sc .

I've got an XD40 subcompact, my friend has the same gun in 9mm. For what it is it's a great little gun, super reliable.

I say go shoot the XD if you can before making up your mind.

CZ57 , I am trying to stay as close to the original design of the HS2000 (XD) as I can . So far I dont care too much for the XDm .

I love my xd 9sc and I was much more accurate with this gun than my glock 19 gen4. I am also in the market for the m&p 9c just because of the great reviews I've read. The xd is extremely accurate and has a great trigger but i'm sure you couldnt go wrong with either.

I think they are both great guns from what I've seen of everyone else's, personally for subs I think Glock nailed it with the 26/27, I would always go with either of those over one of the competitors subs, but between the two, I don't know. The M&P is a little bigger than the XD, but I'd shoot them both and see how they feel. I don't think you can go wrong with either of them or any of the other current subcompacts, they seem to all be surprisingly accurate and as reliable as their bigger ancestors.

The M&P has a great trigger , I hate to say it but better than my Glock .

I have an M&P9c with night sites and love it, great ergo's and flawless reliability. My friend has an XD9c, shoots fine, but ugly as sin with imho a redundant and useless grip safety. Also, Made in America > Made in Croatia

Go AMERICAN MADE!!!! :) and I wouldn't say this if I really thought the xd was better. Have a m&pc and love it. its just a compact not SC.

Both are fine for most users. The M&P has adjustable back straps, which I like. If you don't like the M&P trigger Apex makes a good kit that you can install yourself. Those two things push the M&P ahead of the XD for me.

Is Springfield still making people send their XDs to the factory for warranty work?
