M1 Carbine Ammo Price Conspiracy? Where to by Question

Hi, gents!

Oh, sure. I just received my DCM M1 carbine, having saved my lunch money for a year.... :banghead: and now that I'm ready to buy AMMO for the hungry little carbine, I see that in the space of about a weekend, the prices jumped like they were gasoline prices It HAS to be a conspiracy!

Anybody found a decent price RECENTLY on 30 Carbine ammo? I'm ready to reload, so I really don't want steel cased ammo - I want decent brass in the deal. I saw Federal AE ammo going for $20 a box, up from $16 last week (see, it IS a conspiracy). GI stuff is fine - I'm a plinker, so I don't care if it's FMC. I just don't want to spend a few hundred bucks to get a case...

I get mine from the local gun shop the Florida Gun Exchange, box of 50 $11.99 Normally 13.99 but they said that they got a good deal last time they ordered so for a short while it will be $2 cheaper.....This prob doesnt help unless your in Port Orange Florida.....but thats where I get my cheap .30 carbine
