Hi all,
Ok what's the PMP? I can guess but here's what I have on them. After the Reg. US Army and the National Guard were armed with the M1 Garand, there is talk about the PMP. Mid to Late 1930's, The PMP was the Protective Mobilization Plan. It was to be made up of 1 million men. SA data shows us that production has changed from 200 M1 Rifles per day to 200 M1 Rifles per 8-hour shift. Big move to try an arm units. This time frame is 1940. It's of interest to follow WW2 which was going on overseas and how Ordnance files change by what is going on over there. This PMP deal sounds like some thing we need TODAY!! To help out our troops being called up. If you follow the news, we are running low on troops. Anyway here it is: How many M1 Rifles would be needed to arm the PMP?
