So why are you doing it?
Nothing wrong with the Field Grades. I have two luck-of-the-draw CMP rifles, a Field Grade and a Service Grade and I can't tell them apart by appearance or accuracy.
Thanks Tinpig, Mike. That's real good to hear, I'm just looking for a shooter. Some of the field grades looked a heck of a lot better than the collector or correct grades.
Strange that but I guess the part numbers mean more than condition to the collectors.
Happygeek, one thing to keep in mind is that if you have any problems, CMP will make it right, even with their "no warranty" statement. I doubt any place has customer service as good as CMP does.
CZ Guy not to bust your bubble but it is a Greek import. CMP went over them and you do not have an unissued gun. You have a gun in very nice condition and you should enjoy it. The stock is not USGI to my eyes.
There, my bubble is still intact.
rellascout and NC-Mike, why don't we start a new thread called "trivial arguing", and rella I think you have harassed him enough for one day...Come on guys...lets play nice.
I realize that you were only defending yourself and your objective was not to mislead; I am just trying to keep it on point in the hopes that happygeek will be able to get some more worthwhile information...not just a pointless argument. Just wanted to add that there is a great deal of good information here and I don't want to see the thread closed.I did try to avoid it...
It's a good resource.
